TIDE" FIRST APPEARS IN THE 11/13/1919 EDITION OF
THE CRIMSON & WHITE.
Since 1892 the team has been called several different names.
VARSITY, CRIMSON & WHITE, CADETS, THE THIN RED LINE are
a few of the names the team has been called. From 1912 to the
early 20's the University of Alabama Football team was also
called "The Crimson Warriors."
